Ana P. Barros是伊利諾伊大學(xué)厄巴那香檳分校（UIUC） Donald Biggar Willett 工程學(xué)講席教授和土木與環(huán)境工程系主任、杜克大學(xué)Edmund T. Pratt, Jr. 杰出榮休教授；主要研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)樗膶W(xué)、水文氣象學(xué)和環(huán)境物理學(xué)，特別是水循環(huán)研究，包括云和降水、多尺度陸-氣相互作用、水文預(yù)測(cè)以及極端事件和與水有關(guān)災(zāi)害的預(yù)報(bào)和風(fēng)險(xiǎn)評(píng)估；研究方法主要依賴(lài)野外及室內(nèi)實(shí)驗(yàn)、衛(wèi)星遙感、數(shù)值建模和環(huán)境信息學(xué)。Ana P. Barros教授是美國(guó)地球物理學(xué)會(huì)（AGU）水文學(xué)分會(huì)前任主席、美國(guó)科學(xué)促進(jìn)會(huì)（AAAS）大氣與水圈科學(xué)主席、美國(guó)氣象學(xué)會(huì)理事會(huì)成員；曾擔(dān)任《Journal of Hydrometeorology》主編，也是《AGU Advances》和《PNAS NEXUS》的編輯；于2022年當(dāng)選為UCAR董事會(huì)成員，并在A(yíng)SCE行業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)委員會(huì)任職。她是AGU、AMS、ASCE和AAAS會(huì)士，IEEE高級(jí)會(huì)員、美國(guó)國(guó)家工程院院士。
Brief Introduction of Professor Ana P. Barros
Dr. Ana P. Barros is Donald Biggar Willett Chair of Engineering and Professor and Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UIUC. She is also Edmund T. Pratt, Jr. School Distinguished Professor Emerita at Duke University. Her primary research interests are in Hydrology, Hydrometeorology and Environmental Physics with a focus on water cycle studies including clouds and precipitation, multiscale land-atmosphere interactions, water prediction, and operational forecasting and risk assessment of extreme events and water-related hazards. Her research relies on intensive field and laboratory experiments, satellite-based remote sensing, computational modeling, and environmental informatics. Dr. Barros is the past President of the Hydrology Section of the American Geophysical Union, she was Chair of Atmospheric and Hydrospheric Sciences of AAAS, and she served as a Member of the Council of American Meteorological Society. She served as Chief Editor of the Journal of Hydrometeorology, and she is an Editor of AGU Advances and PNAS NEXUS. Prof. Barros was elected to the UCAR Board of Trustees in 2022 and she serves in the ASCE Industry Leadership Council. She is a Fellow of AGU, AMS, ASCE and AAAS, a senior member of IEEE, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
