題　目：塊狀超導(dǎo)體：革命性突破還是煙霧彈？

主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

David Cardwell教授曾擔(dān)任劍橋大學(xué)戰(zhàn)略與規(guī)劃副校長(zhǎng)，目前是超導(dǎo)工程教授，曾擔(dān)任工程系主任。由Cardwell教授創(chuàng)立的劍橋大學(xué)體超導(dǎo)體研究小組致力于體高溫超導(dǎo)體的加工和應(yīng)用，這些超導(dǎo)體可用于產(chǎn)生非常高的磁場(chǎng)。包括2014年在塊狀超導(dǎo)體中創(chuàng)下的17.6特斯拉的世界紀(jì)錄磁場(chǎng)。1998年，他是歐洲應(yīng)用超導(dǎo)學(xué)會(huì)（ESAS）的創(chuàng)始成員，自2007年以來(lái)，一直擔(dān)任該學(xué)會(huì)的理事會(huì)成員和財(cái)務(wù)主管。他是包括《超導(dǎo)科學(xué)與技術(shù)》在內(nèi)的五本國(guó)際期刊的活躍編委會(huì)成員，并與人合著了300多篇技術(shù)論文和專(zhuān)利。

Brief Introduction of Professor David Cardwell

Professor David Cardwell previously served as Vice President for Strategy and Planning at the University of Cambridge, and is currently a Professor of Superconducting Engineering, having previously served as the Head of the Engineering Department. He leads the Bulk Superconductivity research group at Cambridge on the processing and applications of bulk high temperature superconductors, which can be used to generate very high magnetic fields, including the world record magnetic field of 17.6 Tesla set in bulk superconductors in 2014. He was a founder member of the European Society of Applied Superconductivity (ESAS) in 1998 and has served as a Board member and Treasurer of the Society since 2007. He is an active board member of five international journals, including Superconductor Science and Technology, and has co-authored over 300 technical papers and patents.
