主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

沈佐偉，新加坡國(guó)立大學(xué)杰出講席教授，數(shù)學(xué)科學(xué)研究所所長(zhǎng)。沈教授是發(fā)展中國(guó)家科學(xué)院院士、新加坡科學(xué)院院士，同時(shí)還是美國(guó)工業(yè)與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)協(xié)會(huì)和美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)的會(huì)士。沈佐偉教授的研究方向?yàn)閿?shù)據(jù)科學(xué)的數(shù)學(xué)基礎(chǔ)，包括逼近與小波理論、圖像處理與壓縮感知、計(jì)算機(jī)視覺(jué)和機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)等領(lǐng)域。他曾應(yīng)邀在2010年國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)家大會(huì)(ICM)和2015年國(guó)際工業(yè)與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)大會(huì)(ICIAM)做特邀報(bào)告。

Brief Introduction of Professor Zuowei Shen

Professor Zuowei Shen, Distinguished Chair Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Director of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, is a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the Singapore National Academy of Science, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), and the American Mathematical Society (AMS). His research specializes in the mathematical foundations of data science, with pioneering contributions spanning approximation theory, wavelet analysis, image processing, compressed sensing, computer vision, and machine learning, bridging rigorous mathematical frameworks with cutting-edge computational methodologies. Renowned for his interdisciplinary impact, Professor Shen has delivered invited plenary lectures at flagship mathematical conferences, including the 2010 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM)—the preeminent global forum in mathematics—and the 2015 International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM).
